Between stuttering and inaccurate audio, Forspoken is giving PC users a lot of headaches, and it seems that users did not like the level of optimization provided by Square-Enix with its most recent action game.

As of this writing, Forspoken presents only 50% positive reviews on Steam, a result that certainly cannot make Square-Enix happy. Some users claim that they are unable to play the title even with the minimum graphics settings and recommend downloading the Forspoken demo before proceeding with the purchase of the full game. Several players, although intrigued by the fantasy world of Athia and the varied system of magic available to the protagonist Frey, were disappointed by the insufficient optimization of the open world, and found themselves forced to leave a negative review.

The common hope is that Square-Enix is already working on future patches for the PC version of the game, and that the development team is able to improve performance for a wide range of configurations and correct some visual problems that currently persist. In its technical analysis, Digital Foundry admitted that it currently believes Final Fantasy XV is a graphically better game than Forspoken.
