Three men were found guilty last Monday by the Nantes court. In particular for a case of kidnapping and violence against undocumented migrants. But also for drug trafficking in the same region in France.

Nicknamed “The Kingpins of Commercial Migrants”, these three individuals bring in undocumented migrants from Algeria, terrorize them to keep them under their control and finally exploit them in drug trafficking in Nantes, reports Le Figaro.

Three individuals sentenced for violence and kidnappings of Algerian undocumented

The investigation into this case began last November. Following a complaint made by one of these undocumented immigrants from Algeria. In particular, following the seizure of his goods by the Nantes municipal police.

The man in an irregular situation in France was the victim of violent aggression on the part of his sponsors. This left him with a gash in his face, which required fifteen stitches. Another migrant told the police that he was threatened with a knife before being beaten by the same defendants.

Following these complaints and confessions of the victims, the investigators carried out their investigations more closely, in particular at the level of the Place de Commerce in Nantes, reputed to be a place of drug trafficking. Following heightened surveillance, investigators have found that this network leads a system of terror among its undocumented migrants.

Moreover, facing the Nantes court, the three defendants denied any involvement in the attack on these Algerian undocumented migrants. The judge in charge of this case handed down sentences ranging from 2 to years in prison. Associated with a ban on French territory for two of these individuals. But also, a ban on traveling to Nantes for three years for the third person.
