In this case, an Algerian denounces the conditions in which she lives, imprisoned. Leila, a 30-year-old woman and mother of two children, was sentenced to four years in prison in 2019. The Algerian national had sent 2,500 euros to family members who joined a terrorist group established in Syria. She has been at the Mesnil-Amelot CRA in the Île-de-France region for 5 months but wants to see her children again and denounces unfavorable conditions.
To be heard, and to denounce certain people resort to extreme methods, this is the case of Leila, who decides to start a hunger strike.

Leila no longer wants the Obligation to Leave French Territory (OQTF) imposed on her. According to the French media humanity, it is blocked because of it. She explains that her sister, having dual nationality, was acquitted by the Court of Cassation when the charges against her were heavier.

Beyond this point, the Algerian denounces a certain mistreatment. She explains that the atmosphere is heavy between violence and daily harassment.

According to the same source, the woman claims her innocence and explains that she sent this money out of naivety. She would have sent this money out of pure kindness, thinking to help her family. She says: “They said they had nothing left to live on there. I was naive. I didn’t hide anything. I even provided my identity card to make the money transfer”.
