A big performance on a very small stage…
Only 25 close friends and relatives were allowed to be there when singer and actor Freddy Quinn (91) and his Rosi (64) said yes on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. in a registry office near Hamburg.
Freddy Quinn – in a good mood, in entertainer mode. To the registrar: “Please speak loudly – I don’t have my hearing aid in. But don’t worry, I’ve already figured out what this is about.”
The officer tells of love: “It’s like the sun. Sometimes it hides behind clouds – but it’s always there.”
Then the yes word, the signatures, the kiss. First cautiously on Rosi’s cheek, later lovingly on her mouth.
Sparkling wine! Bottom up! Allow me: Mrs. and Mr. Quinn!
Rosi and Freddy Quinn (“Come back soon”) have been a couple for over ten years. Rosi is divorced, Freddy’s partner Lilli Blessmann died in 2008.
The Late Marriage: A Joint Decision, Without a Romantic Proposal (Freddy Quinn: “It’s about time!”).
The bride to BILD: “Freddy wanted to go to the registry office with one of his old suits. I had to pull his ears to go shopping.”
Her silk dress (eggshell-colored) was designed by herself. Later, the wedding party celebrated in a fine Hamburg restaurant – with veal fillet and a vanilla ice cream bomb with hot raspberries.
Honeymoon is not coming up. Rosi Quinn: “Everyday life is returning to us. We’ve known each other for so long. We celebrate our wedding night comfortably in front of the television.”
