JACK Nicholson could die alone, his friends fear, as the reclusive Hollywood star has not been seen in public for over a year.
Sources close to the actor, 85, say he “doesn’t want to face reality” while locked up in his Mulholland Drive mansion.

According to a new report from Radar, Jack’s friends fear the iconic Chinatown star could die alone like his pal Marlon Brando.
“He made it clear that his home is his castle. But people just wish he’d get out of the house and show up to tell them how — or at least reassure people he’s fine,” an insider shared with the outlet.
The once prolific womanizer now spends his time at home in the luxurious community of Mulholland Drive and only sees his family.
“His children will come, but they are his only connection to the world,” the source said.
“It’s like he doesn’t want to face reality anymore – and that’s just sad.”
Jack was last seen in public attending a Los Angeles Lakers game in October 2021 with his 30-year-old son Ray, who is also an actor.
The source claimed: “Jack is in contact with some parents – especially Ray, his protege, of whom he is so proud – but his days of socializing are long gone.”
Insiders close to the star fear he will suffer the same fate as Marlon, who died alone aged 80 in 2004.
“Brando died a virtual recluse after leading such a colorful life, and Jack’s friends are drawing comparisons.”
Jack bought Marlon’s former home, which has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a swimming pool, shortly after his death.
Before that, the two stars lived side by side for several years.
Jack hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2010, when he starred opposite Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson in How Do You Know.
The three-time Oscar winner is reportedly single following his split from longtime girlfriend Lara Flynn Boyle in 2004 and Paz de la Huerta in 2006.
Although he is the father of six children, he was married only once to Sandra Knight from 1962 to 1968.
