Brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, writers and creators of the popular series “Stranger Things” issued a statement saying they would not continue the Netflix series until the conflict between the AMPTP and the WGA was resolved.

Likewise, the writers of “Cobra Kai”, also from Netflix, stopped writing the sixth season of the series derived from the eighties film “Karate Kid”.

The popular show starring Pedro Pascal “The Last of Us”, from HBO Max, also put the production of the second season on hold since last January 11.

Similarly, the ABC series, “Abbott Elementary”, winner of an Emmy award and a Golden Globe, stopped writing its third season and the screenwriter Brittani Nichols, assured that the strike could affect the number of chapters that would be broadcast on this one.

The creator of the Disney series “Andor”, Tony Gilroy, expressed his solidarity with the writers and announced that production of the second season of the story based on a “Star Wars” universe had ceased, despite having already finished. scripts.

While “Game of Thrones” creator George RR Martin confirmed that production on the series “A Knight of Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” was also on hiatus as a result of the conflict.

Other reputable series that have been slowed down by the break are Apple TV+’s “Severance”, FX’s “American Horror Story: Delicate”, whose season would feature the participation of Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts, the third seasons of “Yellowjackets ” from Showtime and “Hacks” from HBO, among others.

The writers are demanding salary increases, a fair retribution of the payments that the members of a creative team receive when their project is broadcast by some medium, as well as regulation of artificial intelligence and permanent contracts, to name a few.
