There are still a few weeks left until the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 lines of foldable phones, but rumors about them appear more and more frequently. Now, new render images show the likely look of the devices in detail.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 should have the biggest changes
As previous rumors had already shown, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should bring the biggest visual changes among the new devices. After all, it will have an external screen of much larger dimensions compared to the current model.
According to the images, this panel will occupy a large part of the back cover. However, its upper part features an uneven cutout to better accommodate the rear cameras.
It is estimated that the device will have an external screen of 3.4 inches, against 1.9 inches of the Z Flip 4. Therefore, it should surpass rivals like the OPPO Find N2 Flip (3.26 inches), but would be slightly behind the Razr 40 Ultra (3.5 inches).
It was also said that the device should bring official dimensions of 165 x 71.8 x 6.7 mm – therefore, more compact than the Galaxy Z Flip 4 of 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 will bring known revenue
If the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should come with radical visual changes, the same cannot be said about the Z Fold 5. The images indicate that the device should bring the same design with a pill-shaped camera module — three lenses will be part of it. of the rear set, and the flash is further to the side.
According to previous rumors, the biggest changes to the device will be on the inside. A new teardrop-fold construction should make the crease in the foldable display less visible.
This new structure should also make the device thinner, with a thickness of 13.4 mm when folded. For comparison, the Z Fold 4 varies between 14.2 and 15.8 mm thick, due to the angle between the screen parts and the space between them.
Samsung foldables — what to expect
Previous information has already shown what the list of specifications of the two new devices from Samsung should be. The Galaxy Z Flip should bring:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor
- At least 8 GB of RAM
- Up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage (UFS 3.1 on 128 GB model)
- Internal 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution and 120 Hz, external 3.4-inch
- 12+12 MP rear cameras with new sensors
- Battery with improved capacity
The Galaxy Z Fold 5, in turn, may arrive with:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor
- LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage
- 7.6-inch internal screen and 6.7-inch external screen. Both with OLED technology and support for refresh rates at 120 Hz.
- Rear camera set with 50+12+10 MP
A specific date for the launch of Samsung’s new folding cell phones has not yet been set. However, the Unpacked event should take place during the month of July, just before the Korean brand’s traditional schedule.
