Hogwarts Legacy is currently breaking record after record, and Avalanche’s interpretation of JK Rowling’s lovely wizarding world seems to be equally appreciated by media and gamers alike – but some still find the title controversial.

The Hogwarts Legacy discussions and the threat of boycotts (which frankly haven’t gone super well, it seems) have to do with the connection to JK Rowling, who earns money from the game even though she was not involved in it. In protest, itch.io has now created a bundle called Trans Witches are Witcheswhich includes 69 titles from LGBTQ+ developers.

“A bundle of witchcraft and wizardry without the transphobia, antisemitism, and alt-right grifters. Reject Hogwarts Legacy’s bigotry and support independent LGBTQ+ creators”, it says in the description of this bundle. If you want to support this, Trans Witches are Witches costs $60, which is a saving of about 80% compared to the original price of all the games combined.
