Biden orders the release of fuel from reserves to lower prices, electoral measure?

MIAMI.- For the third consecutive week, the price of gasoline in Florida falls, reaching the lowest levels since last February.

“Summer road trips have become less expensive thanks to falling future crude oil and gasoline prices,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA, The Auto Club Group.

This Monday, June 17, in Miami-Dade, regular gasoline is priced at $3.32 per gallon, medium gasoline at $3.75 and special gasoline at $3.98.

The average price of fuel at Florida pumps fell to $3.23 a gallon, five cents less than a week ago.

The cheapest gasoline in the Sunshine State is found in the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach areas, where refueling costs an average of $3.05 a gallon, followed by Pensacola ($3.06) and Panama City ($3.08).

On the other hand, the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area has the most expensive gasoline in Florida at $3.40 a gallon, followed by Naples ($3.33) and Miami-Dade.

Compared to last week, at the national level the average price of gasoline remained practically static around $3.44 per gallon.

In this same period, the price of US crude oil rose 4%, almost $3 per barrel. Analysts attribute this increase to expectations of voluntary production cuts agreed by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
