Alhaitham had a gamplay video released on the official Genshin Impact channel. Scheduled for release in the first phase of Genshin Impact 3.4, the five-star character has had a new trailer revealed by HoYoverse. In addition to him, it is known that the 4-star character Yaoyao will come under the same banner.
Even though Alhaitham is now debuting as a playable character, fans of Genshin Impact already knew him through the stories of the Sumeru region, which debuted in the game’s 3.0 update. He appeared several times in the archon’s quest as the “Scribe of the Akademiya of Sumeru”, where he helped investigate the Sages’ plot. The character is presented as an eccentric intellectual through the dialogue of other characters, describing him as a person who treads his own path and investigates things he finds interesting.
Genshin Impact 3.4: Alhaitham gets gameplay trailer
The Alhaitham gameplay demo trailer showcases the characters’ elemental attacks and abilities. During the cutscenes, the Tighnari, Cyno, and Kaveh characters appear discussing the Scribe’s prowess. Her elemental ability marks an enemy and allows them to teleport in front of them, dealing Dendro damage and infusing their attacks with Dendro for a short duration.
Alhaitham’s elemental blast deals Dendro damage in a large area, which with his elemental ability working in tandem, there is an increase in AoE damage. His Dendro Infusion elemental ability will make him the first Dendro character to imbue his own attacks. Chongyun and Bennett already offer Cyro and Pyro infusion to the entire team while Keqing infuses his own Electro attacks.
Speculation has it that Alhaitham will be a good addition to spread-focused teams. Additionally, his signature weapon, Light of Foliar Incision, can be used to provide increased damage to characters similar to the Scribe, enhancing elemental normal attacks.
