Trome reached another point that again attracts many bathers: the ‘Gilligan’s Island’, on La Arenilla beach in La Punta (Callao) that is being discussed in several TikTok posts. Dozens of boats arrive there, including a ‘titanic‘, but that does not sink.

How to get to Gillligan’s Island from TikTok?
If you dare to go, you have to go to the pier of La Punta and locate the Ramón Valle Riestra Park. You will see a sign announcing: ‘Gilligan’s Island TikTok’ and a penguin doll with the message: ‘boat ride for 5 soles’.
In about 20 minutes they will get you to this space where the sea seems to have no waves and shows the appearance of a lagoon. You will also see sea birds around.

What dishes or meals do they offer on ‘Gilligan’s Island?
Among the visitors was Noemí Sánchez, a Peruvian who now lives in Italy. “I found out on TikTok. First time we came with my mom and a friend. We have ordered jelly fish with cebiche, potatoes and sweet potatoes”.
And just like them, in front of the sea, many enjoy the dishes prepared by ‘Tío Lechuga’ (so known in the place).

Who the ‘Uncle Lettuce’?
Bowls with yuyo, onion, hot peppers and other ingredients, as well as a tray full of lemons and clean plates are seen while ‘Tio Lechuga’ adds rhythm (with the sauce) and seasoning to what he prepares: ”cebiche of cabrilla or pintadilla, rice with fish, pork rinds, anyone at 25 soles”says.
“Uncle Lettuce”, as it is known in the area, he is a fisherman and very early he goes out in search of the fish that he is going to prepare. “Thank God, everything is going well. I’ve been here for 28 years, everything is well served and it’s not going to cher!”he said happily to Trome.
His diners are increasing and he said that, on a good day of sale, they get to consume about 150 dishes of their marine preparations.
There are several tables for the attention of consumers and, in addition, there is also a sale of candies, beer and soda.
