Would you like to sleep longer again? Then don’t get jealous…
The most distinctive features of young parents are often dark circles as deep as the Mariana moat. Every two hours the baby cries, is hungry or the diaper is full. And when it then blissfully slumbers away again, mom (or dad) is awake and tossing and turning.
at Barbara Meier (36) is different! Just nine weeks after giving birth to her second daughter, Emilia Elise, the supermodel is back in the spotlight. And she looks like she just came from an Ayurveda cure.
How does Barbara Meier do it?
“I’m still breastfeeding, so Emilia wakes me up several times,” says Barbara Meier to BILD. “Then I put her back in her crib and fell asleep straight away. Sometimes even in front of my daughter.” Parents who jump up at every little sound their baby makes will now sigh longingly.
Also the GNTMThe 2007 winner initially feared she would be permanently awake. “Before the births, everyone told me that as a mother you can hear every noise at night,” Barbara continues. “For me, the opposite is the case. I sleep incredibly deeply and soundly.”

Nevertheless, Barbara Meier is not stress-free. Because she’s back in the job. Her first job: She presented the game “Café del Gato” in Nuremberg, at the most important toy fair in the world. Their children came with them.
Barbara to BILD: “We took the train together for the first time and traveled without dad Klemens for the first time. I can’t carry as much as I wanted to pack. And when they both slept at some point, I was pretty happy.”
What’s next?
“Oh,” says Barbara Meier. “I’m a mom with all my heart. But I also like working, I had my first job when I was 14. If I can look after my two girls despite my job, I look forward to my job again.”
Many parents can probably understand that, despite all their love for the child.
