The reform will apply to Articles 38 and 102 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States in matters of suspension of political rights for the commission of acts against gender violence.

The crimes that will prevent officials or applicants from accessing public office are: against life and bodily integrity, sexual freedom and security, normal psychosexual development; due to family violence, equated family or domestic violence, violation of sexual intimacy, due to political violence against women based on gender; as well as for being declared as a delinquent food debtor.

In addition to Law 3 of 3, the coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group, Martha Avila, presented an initiative in the same sense so that no aggressor or delinquent food debtor can be elected to head the Head of Government, a Mayor’s Office or Councilor’s Office in Mexico City.
