GOG offers for its winter sales several free games on PC. The next, and last, which will be available in a few hours, is revealed once again in advance thanks to our national leaker.
The Epic Games Store Advent Calendar is over. You have one week left to grab the last two free games, which didn’t have the “wow” effect that many PC gamers hoped for. Never mind, GOG is preparing to roll out its latest giveaway. The DRM-free game sales platform has indeed offered many independent titles as classics. Who will have the heavy task of finishing this little event? We already have the answer.
Next free GOG game revealed in advance
The next GOG free game has once again leaked. To attract players to its store during the winter sales, the platform from the creators of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 offered several gifts. Not as sensational as that of the Epic Games Store, the selection had its share of small nuggets with titles like Ghost of a Tale and King of Seas, Greak Memories of Azu, Worms Revolution Gold Edition or Les Chevaliers de Baphomet: The Director’s Cut. In a few hours, you will be able to grab a sixth and final free game. Thanks to Dealabs (and yes again), we already know his identity.
From December 30, 2022 at 3 p.m. to January 02, 2023 at the same time, PC players will be able to get Daymare 1998 for free. As usual, once this free GOG game is put in the library, it can be kept for life. This independent production is presented as a tribute to Resident Evil 2. If it is appreciated by several fans of the genre, it should be noted that the title received a very mixed reception when it was released. The fault of many bugs which made it quite unplayable, especially on consoles.
The story of Daymare 1998 takes place in the heart of a secret research facility. Special forces are there to investigate an incident involving a deadly chemical weapon. In turn, you embody several characters including an elite soldier, a helicopter pilot and a forest ranger who will all have to survive this town and its bloodthirsty monsters. This free GOG game is therefore primarily aimed at fans of classic horror games from the 90s who will be able to ignore a wobbly technique. Many also hoped to be able to recover it for free one day to test it. It’s now or never.
