Soon in the browser Google Chrome for mobile a feature designed for to increase the security of privacy of our smartphones: the ability to “manage” incognito navigation with your fingerprint.
The announcement comes directly from developer team of the Mountain View house, who let it be known that the development of this new feature had already been underway for some time. Once introduced, this novelty will allow aAccess incognito mode only after that having authorized its launch via Fingerprint. In practice this is not an absolute novelty: unlocking via biometric parameters has already been present for over a year on iOS. operation is decidedly very simple and immediate: when we want to navigate incognito, or return to browser tabs open in this mode, we will be asked to confirm the operation via fingerprint.
This will not be the only novelty that will be introduced in Google Chrome. Once the incognito mode has started, users will also have the “See other tabs” option and an overflow menu for settings and closing all active tabs. Basically this new feature will remain “quiescent”. For activate it you will need to log in settings browser, in the “Privacy and Security” section; here we will find the option “lock incognito tabs when you leave Chrome”. By doing so, the entrance with biometric parameters will be active: any unauthorized access to the incognito files will be blocked in the bud. In practice, it is a function that is only useful in one case: when we lend our cell phone to someone else (like children or colleagues) but we don’t want to let them know what we were looking at on the net.
Google has decided to make the new Chrome feature available to starting January 28; the date was not chosen at random: it is in fact the Data Privacy Day. However, as often happens, the release will be gradual: it is therefore not impossible that to be able to have it on our device it may be necessary to wait a few days.
