Google has implemented an automatic verification feature in Chromewhich aims to facilitate the identification process of users on websites and avoid tedious CAPTCHA verification, but most importantly: stop robots from impersonating humans, a blow to the rise of artificial intelligence (AI).
As the report published on the website of Weekthis new process will be used, effectively, as security measure to verify that users are real people and not robots or automated actions.
with the function of “Automatic verification”pages can verify that it is a real user through Chrome and checking on previously visited websites, since “a small amount of information” is stored from previous verifications with Chrome.
Although users will still have to perform CAPTCHA checks, they won’t have to do it as frequently, according to the report.
“Anti-abuse” function
This feature was implemented in Chrome in February and is referred to by the Chromium developers as an “anti-abuse” feature. To use it, the user must previously activate it through the Chrome settings, within the “Privacy and Security” and “Site Settings” tab.
In addition, a few weeks ago, Google announced that it had implemented several improvements to its service to increase the response speed and performance of the browser on Android devices and computers made by Apple. According to the company, it has been possible to increase the speed and efficiency of the browser thanks to a series of technical advances in the Chrome engine.
These improvements are primarily focused on mobile devices, taking full advantage of the browser on Android smartphones and tablets. In the case of Apple, Google has indicated that it has achieved 10% improvements in the Speedometer 2.1 browser benchmark over the course of three months.
