Chicago (USA), Apr 29 (EFE).- Frenchman Romain Grosjean (Andretti Autosport) will lead this Sunday at the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, after achieving the best time in qualifying this Saturday, with the Spanish Alex Palou (Chip Ganassi) second and Mexican Pato O’Ward (Arrow McLaren) third.

Grosjean stopped the clock in one minute and 5.8396 seconds and celebrated his second pole position of the season, ahead of a Palou who had a time of one minute and 5.9130 seconds.

O’Ward, who won this race last year, will start in third position with a best lap of one minute and 5.9382 seconds, ahead of Scott McLughlin (Penske).

“We will start in the best position, but I have 90 laps to lead. We’ll see tomorrow (on Sunday), but I’m very proud of my boys and very happy for what we’ve been doing”, said Grosjean, commenting on his pole position.

The Swede Marcus Eriksson (Chip Ganassi), leader of the table ahead of O’Ward and Palou, must come back after collecting the twelfth fastest time this Saturday.
