Personnel from the Argentine Naval Prefecture dismantled a smuggling maneuver and seized a shipment of more than 2,000 cartons of cigarettes, in a procedure carried out in Eldorado.
According to what was reported by official sources of the Force, the event occurred when a PNA patrol, which carried out surveillance and control tasks, detected, at kilometer 1,838 of the Paraná River, that packages were being unloaded from a boat towards a truck.

After calling a halt, the troops managed to identify two people and verify that 43 boxes of cigarettes from the Paraguayan industry were trying to enter the country, with a market value of more than 7,000,000 pesos.
The Eldorado Federal Prosecutor’s Office intervenes in the case, which indicated to seize the merchandise and the vehicle that would be used for its transfer.
