Water will be in the spotlight in GTA 6, with a team specifically dedicated to shaping it. Several aquatic activities could thus be on the Rockstar game program like surfing. Something to get the community excited about.
GTA 6 took time and a lot of money. Its budget would oscillate between 1 and 2 billion dollars according to the latest indiscretions. Significant improvements are therefore expected compared to GTA 5, which should be particularly the case at the water level. Deputy editor of the Rockstar Mag media, Aleix Venturas has just made some interesting revelations on this subject.
In several tweets (now deleted), the insider explains that the publisher has a team of 20 engineers responsible for increasing the realism of water physics in GTA 6. From there, he put forward a hypothesis on the potential presence of a water sport in the game. A hypothesis which was taken up massively (and often without nuance) by the specialized press.
Will it be possible to surf in GTA 6?
“We can speculate that the aquatic environment will have a prominent place in GTA VI and that several novelties will accompany this new technology such as the practice of a new sport never before seen in the GTA saga, such as surfing”, says Venturas. The activity is very practiced in Miami (city on which Vice City is inspired where the game will take place) which would make its presence logical.
But nothing has been formally confirmed yet. It is for the moment simply a speculation and it will therefore be necessary to wait before declaring victory. Anyway, water will indeed have a prominent place in the gameplay. In particular, it would be possible to shoot under water with suitable weapons. The community also hopes that nautical activities with boats will be more advanced in GTA 6.
Among the other expected novelties, it is rumored that a new love relationship system will be on the menu of GTA 6. Concretely, you will be able to tie a romance between the two main characters; Or opt for a platonic relationship instead.
