How do radio and television news come about, how are the programs processed technically and what does it feel like to stand in the Vorarlberg studio today?

50 seniors from the Vorarlberg-50plus association, Dornbirn local group, took the opportunity to take a tour of the ORF Landesfunkhaus. After the friendly greeting Irina Bas and Christine Moll, an informative film showed us how all the important media – radio, television, internet and various social media platforms – are used in the building. Of course, the Vorarlberg-today studio and the director’s place, where the evening show was already being worked on, were very interesting. In the radio studio we experienced how the news is broadcast live. Moderator Bernhard Zillner, who handles the radio broadcast alone, showed us how music, information and entertainment intertwine. All participants thanked the ORF staff for the instructive and exciting afternoon and Ilse Fassler for organizing the interesting event.
