The ONPO extends the deadline for finalizing the administrative and health procedures for Hadj 2023

In a new press release published on its official page, the national office of pilgrimage and Umrah announced the extension of the last deadline to carry out all the administrative procedures to carry out the Hajj ritual for the year 2023.

Indeed, from now on, the citizens concerned will have a period which extends until May 20, 2023, to carry out the administrative and health procedures and pay the costs of the Hajj. This is good news for people who were unable to complete the entire procedure. The Onpo also reminds all those concerned that, during this period, the various services remain at their disposal, even on weekends.

Hadj 2023: what are the administrative and health procedures to follow?

The National Office of Hajj and Umrah has previously detailed the various administrative and health procedures to be followed to finalize its registration for the Hajj 2023 season. Indeed, Algerian pilgrims are called, first of all, to present themselves at level of the services of the municipality to obtain their certificate of success for the rite of Hajj. And this, before going to the medical commissions of the wilayas to carry out the examinations and vaccinations required to obtain the following documents:

  • Health qualification certificate;
  • Health booklet;
  • their anti-covid-19 vaccination certificate.

In addition, led by these documents, the future pilgrims will also have to go to the level of the Agency of the Bank of Algeria to pay the expenses of the Hajj. These are estimated at 770,000 Algerian dinars.
