It is worth mentioning that article VI of Annex C determines thatIts provisions will be reviewed after 50 years of its validity, that is, this August 13, 2023. In this negotiation, led by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries that own the venture, Itaipu will essentially play a technical role, providing the necessary advice during the process.
Annex C includes everything related to the financial bases and provision of electricity services of Itaipu Binacional to the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) and the Brazilian Nuclear and Binational Energy Participation Company (ENBPar).
