A Gonnet store that had opened just two weeks ago and is located half a block from the area police station has already been robbed. This is “The Table”, a local cold cuts in 502 between 15 and 16 that suffered the first robbery in the early hours of Monday.
The business owner said that he discovered the fact at 3 in the afternoon that day. The grill on a window in the courtyard was bent and a large quantity of cold cuts were missing from the refrigerators..
The thieves, who could not enter the premises itself, caused damage to the patio and took various cold cuts, such as a whole ham, a whole mortadella and a whole pork leg, in addition to kilos of salami and sausage. The loot amounts to approximately 90 thousand pesosnot counting the repairs of breakages.
The place has an alarm and security cameras, but these do not film the exact place where the attack took place. The 13th Gonnet Police Station is located meters away, which makes this episode even more unusual, one of the many that occur weekly in La Plata and the region.
