Firefighters from the City of Buenos Aires had to fight a fire on Monday in the back of the Iron Mountain warehouse, on Gaspar Jovellanos street at 1300 Barracas.

In that same place, in 2014, a similar event was recorded that ended in a tragedy that left 10 dead – eight firefighters and two Civil Defense members.

According to what was communicated by the Télam agency, “all the personnel inside the warehouse were withdrawn due to the danger of collapse.” And Alberto Crescenti, head of the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME), assured that “there are no fatalities or injuries” and specified that the residents have already been evacuated as a precaution.

This episode reminded us of the tragedy of 2014, which occurred on the morning of February 5 of that year, when a fire spread in the warehouse that the company had at Azara 1245 (on the same block).

Faced with these coincidences, the presidential spokesperson Gabriela Cerruti published a harsh message on social networks. “No, it’s not a coincidence. It is mafia capitalism,” said the official.

“Iron Mountain is an “information and asset custody, protection and management” company that repeatedly catches fire, self-destroying key information every time a legal case involving the rich and powerful advances.
No, it’s not a coincidence. It is mafia capitalism,” said Gabriela Cerruti.
