(5) HP Omen 27u / The review
What is the single best gaming monitor we tested in all of 2022? HP Omen first screen ever. The 27u was released last fall and with the goal of breaking into the more esports-oriented thunder monitors for the serious pro gamers, the computer giant really succeeded in kicking in the doors and taking parts of the market hostage. Because that’s really how good the 27u is, with its brilliantly stylish design, brilliant stand, fantastic panel and superb image quality, it amazed us.

(4) TCL 98″ C735 / The review
When it was first released, we all thought it was mostly just going to be big. Not so good. Big and cool. However, it turned out that TCL’s outright monstrously large TV was as big as it was good and considering how much TCL focuses on us gamers and considering how crazy we at Gamereactor are about big picture, we made this TV a part of our official test rig over the past year. For TCL 98″ is nothing short of brilliant. Sharp panel perfectly optimized for gaming, brilliant motion handling and superb light uniformity. Going from 85″ to 98″ (as we did here in the office) really did wonders for the immersion in both Warzone 2.0 and God of War: Ragnarok as when we looked at UHD 4K film.

(3) Steam Deck / The review
With the Nintendo Switch sweating more than profusely lately, Valve’s Steam Deck dropped like a much-needed bomb in March. Instead of hunkering down in our sweaty dark computer corners, we could suddenly take our entire Steam library out on the balcony in the spring sun and enjoy. The opportunity to revisit our old, already purchased Steam favorites (and not have to pay 599 kroner for hasty conversions) was a favor in itself to say the least, but being able to play the newly released Elden Ring at 60 frames per second in unchristian crisp resolution on a portable format – it was an experience at least as great as entering The Great Plateau in Zelda: Breath of the Wild five years ago. Pair this with almost free rein to tailor your own experience – why not run some Gamepass titles or even your favorite mods? – and we have the most serious challenger to Nintendo’s portable dominance since Sony gave up its PS Vita.

(2) JBL Pro Live 2 / The review
That it is possible to buy these in-ear headphones for SEK 1,400 is a bit bizarre, we would like to say. For our part, there is no doubt at all that American JBL could have easily set SEK 2,899 as the recommended price for these headphones and still sold out of them. That’s how good they are. So where were they when we tested them and that’s how good they continue to be. If you are looking for a complete headset that not only runs circles around Airpods Pro but also covers everything under 2500 kroner, these are the headsets you should get.

(1) LG C2 OLED / The review
During the past year, several really nice TV screens have been produced from a whole range of different manufacturers. Buying a brilliant TV today for reasonable money is so easy that it almost becomes a joke, but it was a screen that broke all the competition, not least for us gamers who want to play at least as much as we watch TV or movies. That TV is called C2 and stands as the world’s best in terms of the overall package offered here. More light punch than ever together with insanely good motion handling and brilliant color values in combination with the market’s best operating system, the market’s smoothest remote control and the market’s most capable “Game Mode” made the LG C2 our TV darling during the past year.
