Months after his disappearance, a 30-year-old from Berlin was found frozen on a mountain. He went missing in Spain in November.

A young German has apparently died in Granada. As reported by “Bild” and Spanish media, the body was found on the highest mountain on the Spanish mainland, the Mulhacén.

The missing person, who was 30 years old when he disappeared, is said to come from Berlin, according to the “Bild”. According to the Centro Nacional De Desparecidos, he disappeared on November 4, 2022 in Bubión in Granada in southern Spain. His mother had reported him missing after “Bild”.

Almost exactly five months later, on April 5, two mountaineers are said to have found the body of a German in his thirties on the Mulhacén, as reported by “El Mundo”, citing the Instituto Armado. The man’s body is said to have been frozen in the ice.

A team from the Guardia Civil mountain rescue team then recovered the body. The autopsy showed that it was the 30-year-old from Germany. As the “Bild” reports, the investigators suspect that the man could have sought protection from a sudden snow storm on a ledge: He only wore jeans, a T-shirt and sports shoes.
