The Ministry of Health reported that it will accredit 57,000 teams to reinforce and expand care in basic units, considered the gateway to the Unified Health System (SUS).

According to the ministry, the accreditation of the new teams will clear the queue of pending requests from municipalities made until January of this year. In total, 3,800 municipalities will be served and over 33.8 million Brazilians will have medical care in the public network. For hiring, an amount of R$ 1.6 billion per year will be released.
