Many donors – including Trudi Pittner – make dolphin therapy possible
The beschlingerin Trudi Pittner is known far beyond the local borders for her great social commitment: For 28 years she has been organizing Christmas bazaars regularly to support people with different handicaps. “Actually, I said a few years ago that it’s finally over and that I’ve now reached retirement age,” smiles the beschlingerin. But because she is still an avid crafter and has the support of her family to do so, she has exhibited numerous creative crafts and crafts in her home. “I heard about the fate of little Lion and wanted to support the family,” explains Trudi Pittner, and so we were able to collect 700 euros at a Christmas bazaar and now hand them over to Mama Anna Richtfeld and little Lion.
Lion didn’t have an easy start in life at all. “At the age of one and a half years we noticed that the developmental delays were noticeable. After medical examinations, a rare genetic defect was diagnosed,” describes Anna Richtfeld. “Lion is an absolutely happy and strong-willed child who simply needs more support.” He currently visits the Nenzinger playgroup on two mornings – a time that also brings relief for the mother. Because in order to be able to support their son as well as possible, there are numerous therapies on the weekly schedule at the Richtfelds. Thanks to many donors, a dream will come true for the families in March: “We can fly to Curacao for dolphin therapy,” says Anna Richtfeld, excited to see how her son will respond to this therapy. “Lion’s big sister Luisa is also very happy – sibling therapy is also offered there.” This should also be a carefree time for the family. Anna Richtfeld would like to say a heartfelt “thank you” to all the people who support her and Trudi Pittner on her behalf. The organizer of the handicraft bazaar dismisses it modestly: “It’s nice when you can help someone with your hobby.”
