Christalino Atemona is about to leave Hertha BSC. As the ‘Bild’ reports, the 20-year-old homegrown player will join the Belgian first division club KV Kortrijk. The central defender has been a guest player in Belgium’s team training for the past two weeks. Atemona is to receive a contract with Kortrijk until the end of the season. In case of relegation, the contract is automatically extended by one year.

According to the report, Atemona’s contract with Hertha should be terminated. The defender is tied to the old lady until 2024. In Berlin, the former German U20 national player could not assert himself with the pros due to bad luck with injuries. Hertha will not receive a fee, but should be involved in a potential resale.
