André Hoffmann is optimistic about staying at Fortuna Düsseldorf beyond the summer. “We’ve been in talks for a few weeks. Very honest conversations, I have to say that honestly. I think I’ve emphasized often enough what Fortuna means to me. We don’t need to talk about that. It won’t be too long before we announce whether it’s going ahead or not. But the talks are good and at the moment there is nothing to prevent it from continuing.”the 30-year-old central defender told the ‘Rheinische Post’.

Hoffmann’s contract expires in the summer. Sports director Christian Weber expects “to find a solution as soon as possible”. The Fortuna captain can look back on 24 appearances this season. It is quite possible that many more will be added.
