In the course of your studies, you accumulate countless e-books and specialist articles. Some students just leave the documents lying around on the desktop – and lose track. Others navigate through a maze of folders, and others use management software to sort through their digital library.

One such piece of software is caliber: it organizes long reading lists, different file formats, and detailed metadata. That’s why caliber is particularly popular among students, because metadata can be used not only to sort e-books, but also to customize them – for example, assign the appropriate course number to each e-book. For language students, such as Arabic or Mandarin, Caliber even comes with a little something extra: Since the jump to Python 3, the reading mode has supported texts that run from right to left.

Caliber organizes e-books using metadata. This makes it possible to sort your own literature collection again and again according to numerous criteria. Another plus is the easy conversion between many common formats, such as AZW3, EPUB or PDF. Caliber also comes with a reading mode in which notes can be created, searched and sorted. Caliber syncs with the e-reader via a USB cable or a wireless network.
