LinkedIn’s Creation Mode brings a set of tools to help increase your profile’s visibility on the social network. Widely used by influencers, the function has exclusive features to publish content on the platform and gain a new audience from different sources.
This feature is available free of charge for any personal network account. Among the main advantages, LinkedIn’s Creation Mode allows people outside the network to follow the account, highlights topics of interest and provides access to publishing tools.
What is LinkedIn Creation Mode?
Creation mode is a suitable setting for people who want to become influencers on the social network. In short, it offers unique features to improve reach and track the engagement of your own content — it’s a function very similar to professional accounts on other social networks, such as Instagram and TikTok.
With this active mode, you can choose a few main topics of interest and reinforce your profile as an authority on the subject. That way, when someone searches for hashtags, they can find the featured content and discover your account.
What features are available in Create Mode?
LinkedIn makes the following tools available with the create mode:
- “Follow” button: replaces the “Connect” icon and allows anyone to follow your content, even if you do not accept the connection request;
- Profile Hashtags: space to add up to five tags about favorite topics of interest. It helps to highlight the account when other people search for the same subjects;
- Featured Content: The “Featured” and “Activity” sections move to the top of the account and prioritize original posts. Reactions, comments, and other actions are not displayed;

What are authoring tools?
When the account meets certain requirements imposed by LinkedIn, it is possible to access other resources for creating content: this includes newsletters, live streams from LinkedIn Live, audio rooms and a button to follow the account.
To release all these tools, it is necessary:
- Maintain a base with at least 150 followers or connections;
- Share original content;
- Do not violate the policies for professional social networking communities.

How to Enable Creation Mode on PC
- Access your LinkedIn profile;
- Scroll down to the “Resources” tab;
- Select “Creation mode”;
- Click “Next” and finish the configuration.
