With the high inflation, and after the 7.7% in March that doesn’t help at all, the numbers to avoid falling below the poverty line are getting higher every time.

For this reason, the General Directorate of Statistics and Censuses of the City shared data that establishes the social rank of a family of four according to their monthly earnings.

Getting to the point, a Buenos Aires family needed at least $191,000 in March to avoid being poor. While, in order not to be considered in a situation of indigence, a family required at least $107,836.35.

To belong to the middle class, it took about $293,000 in the city of Buenos Aires for a family.

In this way, the expenses of the Basic Food Basket (CBA), which mark the limit of indigence, had an increase of 9.83% compared to last month, standing 2.73 percentage points above the inflation of the period in the City, which stood at 7.1%.

Meanwhile, the index accumulated in 12 months reached 117.4%, higher by 12 percentage points than the 105.4% of the interannual inflation measurement.
