With the aim of informing travelers before going on vacation, the Municipality provided recommendations that those who have to renew their driver’s licenses should take into account. When do you have to ask for the shifts and what happens if the card expires?

The Undersecretary of Coexistence and Citizen Control of the Commune indicated in the last hours that drivers may start the process to renew their licenses from 30 days before the expiration date. In turn, they will have the possibility of doing so up to 90 days after expiration, although in this case without the possibility of continuing to drive.

Shifts will be granted exclusively through the site turnos.laplata.gob.ar/misdataswhere the neighbor will be assigned one of the four municipal Transit headquarters. The procedure can thus be carried out at 20 and 50 (La Plata), 5 between 55 and 56 (ACA), 15 bis and 495 (Gonnet) or Diagonal 11 C between 81 D and 82 (Villa Elvira).

The local authorities recalled, in this framework, which are the documents that must be presented to finalize the management:

  • ID with address in the city.

  • Parental authorization before a notary public (under 18 years of age).

  • Criminal record certificate (professional categories).

  • Factor and blood group (beginners).

  • Free of debts and infractions.

Finally, in the Municipality they indicated that “the work continues with a very important rhythm of renovations and shifts, trying to normalize the situation to 100%” after the difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
