Hamburger SV has brought reinforcements for the defense chain on board. Francisco Montero (24) is moving from Besiktas to the Rothosen on loan. The second division club has not announced any purchase option.
Montero is a trained central defender and is therefore the replacement for doping-banned Mario Vuskovic. In addition to Noah Katterbach (21), Montero is the second signing for the defensive.
Hamburg sports director Jonas Boldt says: “In Javi Montero we have found an important building block for our central defence. Due to his strong left foot and his footballing quality, he offers us additional variability in the game structure. His tackling behavior in the last line and his international experience will also give us further stability and increase the competition.”
