Hikers found human remains in a wilderness area in Mount Baldy, California on Saturday where English actor Julian Sands went missing this past January.
Hikers found the body around 10 am in the mountains and called deputies at the Fontana Station of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the medical examiner said in a news release.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the body is that of Sands.
The body was transported to the medical examiner’s office and is expected to be identified the following week.
Sands, 65, known for and his film “A Room With a View,” has been missing since hiking in the Mount Baldy area in January, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Sands was a keen hiker, but disappeared during a stage where Mount Baldy was covered in snow after heavy storms. The search for the actor has continued.
