Hunter x Hunter creator recommends golf manga

Yoshihiro Togashi, criador de Hunter x Hunter e Yu Yu Hakusho, recomendou o mang de golfe Oi! Tonbo for fans.

In a recent interview, the mangak revealed that he is a fan of the work and even stated that he wanted Gon was more like the protagonist Tomb.

Written by Ken Kawasaki and illustrated by Y Furusawa, Hey! Tonbo serialized in the weekly magazine Golf Digest since August 2014.

The manga, which has 46 volumes to date, will receive an anime adaptation produced by the studio OLM (Odd Taxi, Diaries of an Apoteria) in 2024.

The official synopsis states: Igarashi, who left the past behind and hid from the world, moved to the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture. On the island of Hinoshima, known as “the last unexplored region in Japan”, Igarashi meets Tonbo, the only second-year high school student in the city. The innocent girl has an incredible talent for golf! This meeting will change their fate…

Meanwhile, the fate of Hunter x Hunter remains uncertain. The work was removed from the list of serialized titles on the weekly magazine’s websiteShonen Jumpindicating that it can be changed magazines or migrated to the Shonen Jump+ platform.

Recently, Togashi shared one of the five versions of the ending he had planned, asking fans to consider this as the definitive ending, if he is unable to finish the work.

Hunter x Hunter tells the story of Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old boy who intends to become a Hunter, a hunter of treasure, lost places and strange creatures.
