In successive interviews for The JDD and France Info, the head of government defends her record and the quality of her relations with the President of the Republic. Weakened by the pension reform and suspended from an uncertain future after July 14, she shows her desire to continue the adventure at Matignon.

“I carried out reforms, I know the elected officials, the Parliament, I can be useful to my country”, says the one who will celebrate her first birthday this Tuesday at Matignon. Often judged as a “techno”, the head of government denies being above ground:

“I was CEO of a box, regional prefect, it’s not a shame to know the reality of the country”.

Elisabeth Borne also returns to her relationship with Emmanuel Macron. “Everyone has their own personality,” she admits, after having notably made known disagreements at the beginning of April. But the Matignon tenant also recalls that she has been working for “six years” alongside “the President of the Republic”.

“We have an extremely fluid relationship, because I totally share the vision he has for our country.” It remains to be seen whether the latter will hear it with the same ear by July 14.
