Season two of “71 degrees north – team” is well underway on the TV screen, and the participants have experienced ups and downs – both physically and mentally.
During Sunday’s episode, the contestants are on a three-day stage. Where they are challenged on foot, in a canoe and in a helicopter.
The participants all seem to know their way around, but it is one of the hunter twins who really gets a crack during the stage.
Body like a 90-year-old
During the episode, Kristine Thybo Hansen opens up about the troubles she has with the disease endometriosis.
– I walk with a body that is 90-100 years old. I kind of feel like “damn you’re stupid, you’ve got the body of a 30-year-old, oh my god use it”. But it’s completely gone, it’s so frustrating, says the twin in Sunday’s episode.
– If we had lived in the old days, they would probably have just put a bullet in me. That’s how it feels.
Drains the energy
The hunter twin also says that it would have been fine if it was only her turn, but having her sister with her became another strain.
Caused bicycle crash: – Kept killing Rikke
– What destroys me, destroys Johanne too. Then there is one more thing to think about.
When Good Evening Norway was present during the premiere party for this year’s season, the twins eased the challenges surrounding the disease even more.
– I became very tired because of the endometriosis. It was draining my energy and I felt absolutely awful. It was very challenging. Before I joined the series, I thought that if there was one thing that was going to break me, it was endometriosis, says Thybo Hansen to God kveld Norge.
Cursed
Johanne Thybo Hansen tried to help her sister during several of the stages, but without success.
– She does not accept comfort. She just gets mad at me so it was challenging. I tried to carry her bag, but she refused, says Johanne Thybo Hansen
– When Johanne already had a bag of 30 kilos, also asking about taking mine of 30 kilos, I just got even more pissed off, replies the sister.
Before the recording, she really dreaded the first three days of her period. Those days are always the worst, and in the past she has been bedridden during that period.
– I just had to drive on, but fortunately I was given painkillers.
The sister did not know how bad the condition had been for Kristine, but she soon realized that during the recording.
– I remember in the second stage, then I didn’t show what I was going to say. I got such a pain in my stomach from her, she says of her sister.
