The head of security at the Le Brique nightclub, Alejandro Muñoz, declared this Wednesday on the third day of the trial for the murder of Fernando Báez Sosa and maintained that in his 20 years of profession he had not seen “anything like it, it was cruelty.”

“I’ve been working on this for twenty years and I’ve never seen anything like it, all kicks,” said Muñoz in his statement during which he could not contain his tears and assured that after what he had experienced, he spent “four days without sleep.”

In addition, he recounted that despite his size -2.03 meters- it was difficult for him to get Máximo Thomsen out of the bowling alley after the crossing that he and his group had inside the place with Fernando Báez Sosa.

He had to take him out along with another companion through a side door, “the one in the kitchen”, and he notified the Police at the door due to the violent state in which the young athlete was.

Muñoz recounted that they immediately called him and he went to the door, and there he saw “how the rugby players took turns to hit him, especially “kicks”. He even recounted that after they gave him the first one, “Fernando didn’t get up anymore.”

Ventura marked the violent side of the defendants

“What they did did not surprise me at all because they already had fights in Zárate,” Pablo Ventura said of the eight defendants, upon entering the Dolores courts to testify as a witness in the third hearing of the trial for the crime of Báez Sosa.

Accompanied by his father, José María, the young man stated in statements to the press that “I knew them by sight, Zárate is a small city, there is only one bowling alley and we ran into each other there,” referring to the defendants.

Finally, the young man maintained that to this day he does not know which of the eight rugby players mentioned him as a member of the group in the moments after the crime and when he was in Zárate having dinner with his family in a restaurant.

“To this day I don’t know who it was, nobody told me. What’s more, to this day I don’t know why they accused me,” he said and thanked society for the support that allowed him to present evidence to show “that he had no nothing to do with that aberrational murder”.
