MILAN (AP) — Samuel Iling-Junior opened his goalscoring tally on his Juventus first-team debut to set the stage for a 2-0 win over Atalanta on Sunday that left his team in second place in Serie A.

The 19-year-old England attacker opened the score after 56 minutes and Dusan Vlahovic sealed the result in stoppage time — shortly after being the victim of discriminatory chants from Atalanta fans, which caused the match to be briefly interrupted.

It was just Juventus’ second victory in seven games and allowed the Bianconeri to dislodge Lazio, which lost 2-0 at Milan on Saturday in a close battle for the top four in the Italian league.

Atalanta, who had just won their last four games, hit the posts twice and was five points behind Inter Milan, occupying fourth place — the last one to distribute a ticket to the next Champions League.

Four dates remain in the season.

New champions Napoli celebrated their first title in 33 years with a 1-0 win over Fiorentina. He did it as part of an emotional celebration at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

In Bergamo, Juve knocked dangerously on the door with a curling shot from Ángel Di María in the 21st. Atalanta came closer three minutes later when Giorgio Scalvini’s header from a corner from the right crashed into the far post.

The visitors broke the equality after the restart in a play started and finished by Iling-Junior.

The England Under-20 team member recovered a ball down the left flank and clipped an opponent to pass to Adrien Rabiot. The French midfielder wanted to give up Arkadiusz Milik but the pass intercepted by Atalanta defender Joakim Maehle ended up back at Iling-Junior, who inflated the net.

Davide Zappacosta missed the equalizer in the last minute with a shot from 20 meters that hit the base of the near post.

The match was interrupted due to discriminatory chants from a section of the Atalanta bar against the Serbian Vlahovic. The referee and the Atalanta players asked those fans to stop, at the same time that they were rebuked by the rest of the local fans.

Vlahovic retaliated in the eighth minute of stoppage time by scoring after a pass from Federico Chiesa. The Serb didn’t say anything towards the Atalanta fans, but he pointed emphatically at their chest.

TOP SCORER

After securing the scudetto on Thursday, Napoli want Victor Osimhen to finish as the league’s top scorer.

Fiorentina goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano saved Osimhem from a penalty, but the Nigerian striker converted another to open a four-goal lead over Lautaro Martinez (Inter) from the top of the scoring charts.

DECLINE

Hellas Verona defeated Lecce 1-0 to claim their first away win in over a year.

The victory left Verona three points ahead of Spezia, 18th in the standings. Lecce is one point ahead of Verona.

In addition, Monza rescued a 1-1 draw at Torino.
