On her Instagram account, the host of Everyone has their say on France 2 returned to the violent bicycle collision of which she was the victim during her vacation in the Landes.

More fear than harm for Sidonie Bonnec. From Monday to Saturday at 6 p.m., the 46-year-old host punctuates the late afternoons of France 2 with Everyone has their say, her game mixing French language and general culture that she co-presents with her accomplice Olivier Minne. When she is not on television, the Rémoise, a sports enthusiast, does not hesitate to use her bike, both to keep in shape and to get around. But this summer, the former presenter of Kindergartens (2015-2016) had a painful experience on the road. On her Instagram account, Sidonie Bonnec published a photo of herself with her left hand in a splint (which you can find at the bottom of this article)accompanied by a text in which she recounts her accident on two wheels during the summer.

“A cyclist knocked me down four weeks ago on a cycle path in the Landes”first explained the TV host. A very violent accident which only fractured my finger. I say ‘only’ because considering the violence of the shock, I coped incredibly well”, she continued. Sidonie then recalled that if she had not been more seriously injured, it was thanks to her behavior on the road: “Fortunately I wasn’t going fast. Fortunately I was wearing a helmet. I’m a cyclist too, I don’t run red lights, I ride slowly, I pay attention to pedestrians, I don’t think I’m the queen of the world on my bike, in short I respect the highway code and that’s normal”assured Olivier Minne’s sidekick.

In the rest of her Instagram post, the presenter returned to the behavior of the cyclist after their violent collision: “The person who hit me was driving very fast and on the wrong lane, and as if that wasn’t enough, he disappeared into thin air”, she denounced. Today recovered from her emotions but surely still shocked by this mishap, Sidonie fumes: “I am angry because she left me alone with my pain and a deep feeling of injustice”she said before concluding: “Cyclists! Let’s be good citizens”. A necessary prevention message. Indeed, according to estimates from the National Interministerial Road Safety Observatory (ONISR) published last May, 2,628 cyclists were seriously injured in France last year, an increase of 14% compared to 2019.
