The provincial labor minister Juan Manuel Pusinerisaid that “since mid-2020 employment growth has been practically constant. It is a fact that was verified in a complicated context of the economy impacted by inflation, the lack of foreign currency and the consequences of the drought.”

“Initially the recovery occurred in sectors such as industry and construction and, since last year, except for some in particular, all sectors participate in this growth; that is, industry, construction, commerce and services,” the official explained.

Pusineri stressed that “this is not accidental. From this Ministry, We work in programs that collaborate with labor insertion with the aim of propping up the productive sector and accompanying the people of Santa Fe who are looking for work. In this sense, the Primer Empleo program is one of the proposals that Governor Omar Perotti made in his electoral campaign and today it is one of the actions that are in full development,” stressed the head of the provincial Labor portfolio.

The program aims generation, improvement and maintenance of jobs, of a segment of the population that, historically, presents greater difficulties when it comes to getting their first formal job.

Promotes job placement of unemployed youth between 18 and 30 years of age through the payment to the employers that hire them, of a non-refundable contribution equivalent to 85% of the Minimum Vital and Mobile Salary for each worker. In this way, the Ministry directly pays the employer an economic aid that today amounts to $68,290 for a period of up to six months.

Hundreds of participating companies

“Since the province of Santa Fe launched First Job, a year and a half ago, there are already 600 participating companies. The investment in this program reaches 522 million pesos, which makes it one of the central policies of government management”, contributed Eduardo Massot, Undersecretary of Employment.

Likewise, the official highlighted that “the reception by the businessmen and women was very positive. The articulation with the business chambers, trade union associations, municipalities and communes is essential to publicize the employment promotion policies that we are implementing from the state, either from the Employment portfolio or from the Ministries of Production, Social Development , and with the Ministry of Labor of the Nation. In this sense, we achieved the labor insertion of 11,000 people from the combination of different actions.”

For her part, the director of the program, Valeria March, highlighted the continuity of Primer Empleo “The program came to stay, It has its regulations, its decree and we want it to continue over time,” he said. And she added: “We want more and more people to know this tool that the province offers so that those who enter the labor market do so with a quality job: with a salary receipt, with retirement contributions and with social work,” said the official. .
