Patent tax: payment according to category
Another novelty is that the Government determined to reduce the patent tax rate (by 50%) for lower-end vehicles, whose fiscal value is less than $1,000,000. Thus, more than 300,000 people will pay only 1.6% of what their vehicle is worth, as a concept of this obligation.
The rest of the categories are as follows:
- Vehicles between $1,000,000 and $4,900,000, 3.2%.
- Vehicles between $4,900,000 and $6,750,000, 4%.
- Vehicles between $6,750,000 and $9,800,000, 4.5%.
- Vehicles of more than $9,800,000, 5%.
Users will pay the patent tax with up to 84% increase in January.
