Infinix presented this Tuesday (31) the Infinix Zero Book Ultra, the brand’s first high-performance notebook. With a name similar to that of the company’s most advanced smartphone – the Infinix Zero Ultra -, the laptop brings together the most robust technical sheet ever offered by the manufacturer, including 12th generation Intel Alder Lake processors, LPDDR5 RAM, high-capacity SSD storage and premium construction. robust and relatively thin.

The device comes equipped with three CPU options, all in the 45 W power range: the most advanced Intel Core i9 12900H, with 14 cores and 20 threads (6 high-performance P-Cores + 8 high-efficiency E-Cores). running at up to 5.0 GHz; the robust Core i7 12700H, also with 14 cores and 20 threads, but operating at up to 4.7 GHz; and the Core i5 12500H, with 12 cores and 16 threads (4 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores) running at up to 4.5 GHz.

The most basic chips are accompanied by up to 16 GB of RAM, while the most powerful ships up to 32 GB, all in the LPDDR5-6400 standard — which means that there is no upgrade option, as this standard adopts soldered memories. For storage, we have 512 GB of PCIe 4.0 SSD in the i5 and i7 versions, and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 in the i9 variant, with M.2 slots for installing additional disks.

With these specifications, the Zero Book Ultra draws attention to its construction, in particular the thickness of 16.9 mm, and even the weight of 1.8 kg. It is likely that the reduced dimensions are the result of the absence of a dedicated GPU – the graphics processing is in charge of Intel’s integrated solution, the Iris Xe.

The design resembles a mixture of the main premium laptops on the market, with a power button equipped with a digital reader, quad stereo speakers next to the keyboard and stripes on the lid to differentiate the device. The 15.6-inch screen is simple, with an IPS LCD panel, Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The company promises 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, as well as 400 nits peak brightness.

To keep temperatures under control, Infinix implemented what it calls Ice Storm 2.0, a cooling system with two fans and two heatpipes. In addition, there are different consumption profiles, including Eco and Turbo, configurable through a physical button on the side, one of the laptop’s differentials. For a time, the battery packs 70 Wh, and can be quickly charged with the 100 W adapter.

The launch also stands out for its connectivity, including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, USB-C for charging and external video via DisplayPort, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4, SD card reader and 3-way P2 connector. .5 mm for headphones and microphone.

The Full HD webcam and Windows 11 Home close the package, with integration resources between the notebook and Android smartphones. According to the brand’s announcement, it would be possible to mirror up to two apps simultaneously, in addition to sharing files, but apparently, the solutions offered by the brand are part of the suite of standard Android features.

price and availability

The Infinix Zero Book Ultra goes on sale in India from this Friday, February 3rd at the following suggested retail prices:

  • Core i5/16GB RAM/512GB SSD — 49,990 rupees (~R$3,095)
  • Core i7/16GB RAM/512GB SSD — 64,990 rupees (~R$4,020)
  • Core i9/16GB RAM/512GB SSD — 79,990 rupees (~R$5,000)
  • Core i9/32GB RAM/1TB SSD — 84,990 rupees (~R$5,260)

The company did not reveal whether it intends to take the device to more countries, but there is a chance that this expansion will occur eventually, considering the brand’s growing investment in the laptop segment. In Brazil, Infinix operates through a partnership with Positivo, but it usually launches only simpler cell phones, so the probability of seeing the notebook around here is low.
