Information from Hunter Biden's laptop would be an issue in gun possession trial

WILMINGTON — Hunter Biden’s trial on federal gun charges in Delaware could last up to two weeks, and there are likely to be sharp disagreements over the evidence during its trial, which coincides with his father’s re-election campaign.

President Joe Biden’s son is accused of lying about his drug use in October 2018 on a form to purchase a firearm that he kept for about 11 days in Delaware.

Hunter Biden acknowledged having been addicted to crack cocaine during that period, but his lawyers have said he did not break the law and that the case is politically ‘motivated’. Hunter Biden did not speak to reporters as he accompanied his attorneys to the Wilmington courthouse for a hearing Friday.

The prosecution scored a victory on a key point when District Judge Maryellen Noreika ruled that it did not have to prove that he used drugs specifically on the day of purchase.

However, he agreed to take into account defense questions about the contents of a laptop he allegedly left at a Delaware repair shop.

Hunter Biden’s lawyers want to raise questions at trial about the authenticity of the computer data. The prosecution claims that there is no evidence that the device was at risk and that a prolonged fight would be a waste of time. The computer has been a source of controversy for years after Republicans accessed it and released personal data stored on it.

Judge Noreika said she would take into account objections to specific data as the trial unfolds.

Shady business, drugs and women

President Joe’s son’s personal computer Biden has exposed him about his direct links with the communist regime of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

According to an article in The New York Post, the famous laptop contains a list of contacts of important United States officials, basically in charge of supervising US-China relations, and also of at least 10 senior Google executives, with whom Hunter would have counted in financial terms.

That discovery has caused a tremendous stir in national public opinion, as it “raises new questions about the extent to which Joe Biden’s son could have taken advantage of his important connections for personal gain,” the report in question noted.

While Joe Biden served as vice president of the country during Barack Obama’s term (between 2009 and 2017), everything indicates that Hunter was not wasting his time and would dedicate himself to taking advantage of his surname and his transcendent connections.

The contents of the computer would also reveal shady dealings, drugs and women.

And Hunter Biden has sparked a scandal since before his father’s arrival in the White House for his alleged “shady” business dealings in Eastern Europe, including Ukraine and Russia, all of this during the 2020 election campaign and which ended up covered up. with the apparent complicity of the former owners of Twitter, who even censored the New York Post.

In 2020, Hunter’s tax return also came under investigation by federal agents for the same reason.

Portions of Biden’s trial memoirs

Prosecutors also plan to show jurors portions of Biden’s memoir, published in 2021 and titled “Beautiful Things,” in which he details his struggle with alcoholism and substance abuse following the 2015 death of his older brother, Beau, at age 46, due to brain cancer.

Defense lawyers argued that prosecutors were selecting only evidence that suited them, so the judge agreed to allow Biden’s lawyers to present broader selections.

His attorney, Abbe Lowell, also said there are indications that the gun purchase form was altered by employees after the sale. Prosecutors say they were only minor additions unrelated to the parts written by Hunter Biden.

President Biden’s son has remained in the eye of the storm and faces two trials.
