The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) disseminated the provisional results of the 2022 Census, in which it is highlighted that currently Argentina has 46,044,703 inhabitants. Among the data published by the organization that leads Marco Lavagnaalso includes the detail of the number of people per party.
It is worth noting that the data from the census carried out in May of last year throughout the Argentine territory specified that, of those 46 million, 51.76% are women; 48.22% are men; and 0.02% represent non-binary people or who do not identify with either sex.
From the analysis of the report it appears that La Plata currently has 772,618 inhabitants. Of this total, 399,339 people belong to the female sex, 363,647 male and 98 non-binary. In this sense, the agency explained that 763,047 people from La Plata live in 328,904 private homes and 9,534 in 215 in collective housingthat is, the population living on the streets registered in shelters or inns. The remaining 37 are on the streets.
In Berissothe number of inhabitants is 100,917, of which 52,437 are women, 48,472 men, and eight are non-binary. Of the total, the authorities indicated that 100,917 people are distributed in 35,958 private homes while 346 in 24 collective homes.
In CoveMeanwhile, the INDEC report highlights that they currently live 64,381. Of that total, 33,214 are women, 31,163 men and four inhabitants are non-binary. The numbers collected by the census takers show that 64,381 are distributed in 24,239 private homes and 25 are located in three collective homes.
The figures were presented at a press conference by the head of INDEC, Marco Lavagna, who highlighted that the largest number of residents is in the province of Buenos Aires, followed by Córdoba, Santa Fe and CABA. The official was accompanied by the technical director of the organization, Peter Lines and the national director of Social and Population Statistics, Gladys Massé.
