Instagram and its reels

Meta’s social network reported on its new changes to its platform, which according to Hootsuite data, has more than 1.47 million users globally, its main audience being people between 18 and 34 years of age.

Among these changes, the image platform announced that users will now be able to download public reels, along with the original audio.

“When the button is activated, anyone can download public reels, the original audio of these and other remixes. You can also disable downloading for certain users,” the social network explained.

According to Instagram, he sent several messages to various selected accounts to test this function.

It is worth mentioning that, currently, the Meta social network only allows you to store reels in “Saved”, which is available in the main menu, as well as comment, like and send them through direct messages.

With this feature, the platform would be competing with TikTok, where users of the Chinese social network can download and share public videos without problem.

This new function is added to other innovations that Meta announced for Instagram, such as allowing five links to be added to the profile of the accounts.

With that, users can now link to any URL that meets your community guidelines and terms of service.

The Meta social networks are not the only ones that are updating their functions, since Tiktok also announced this month that it is making changes to decipher the faces that are created by Artificial Intelligence and identify its users on this false content.

In this sense, the Chinese video platform indicated on its new restrictions that it will prohibit publications that show that a person’s face has been altered by AI, in order to deceive Internet users.
