Anyone who wants to buy a photovoltaic system at the moment needs patience. The specialist companies are fully booked for months and the prices are outrageously high. If you dare to do the installation yourself, you will reach your goal faster and can save money – especially when it comes to manageable projects, for example on the roof of the garden shed or garage.

The c’t editors Pina Merkert, Andrijan Möcker and Jan Mahn tried out how this can work. In the uplink, Pina and Andrijan report on their experiences and show that none of this is rocket science.
