Shortly after the launch, a security researcher was able to establish a JTAG connection to the new iPhone 15.

JTAG is a debugging interface that is primarily used for developing the devices themselves. Security researchers have previously discovered how JTAG is possible over Lightning.

iPhone 15 relatively easy to access

Now the YouTuber and security researcher stacksmashing examined the USB-C port of the iPhone 15. It turns out that debugging works almost exactly the same as with other Apple devices with USB-C.

JTAG is currently hardly usable

However, since Apple disables JTAG debugging on sold devices, there is relatively little that can be done with the interface. However, there is some output and some commands, such as a reboot, can be executed.
